intervalometer canon

[Rise_Fall]

i am interested in buying a intervalometer for my canon xsi, i really don't want to spend the 250 dollars on the cannon product. is there a third party brand that would be worth buying? also i am going to be buy a 60d soon and i am wondering if i would have to buy a new intervalometer for that camera as well or can i just use the same one for both cameras?

Your help would be appreciated.
