Unfortunately you must be tethered. It would be cool if you could hook it up via ipod to camera cable to control it so you could do this in the field.

Yeah exactly. This app is pointless if you STILL need a tethered connection. It just turns it into a very heavy $700 $50/month remote.

What would be really cool is if you could tether to the iPhone while using this app. Imagine that. Press the button, bam 10mpx high quality image on your gadget remotely.
