Ok. Am thinking of shooting down to NYC. Did a hotel search and clicked a couple for more info. While reading news a few days later, I got a pop up ad for 1 that I had researched. It listed a price of 'Best Rate Guarantee' of $269.10 and I clicked the ad.
Brings me to the actual hotel website, not expedia etc.
Nope, rate is $597.
I called and the gal says there is NO way to find the $269 rate. I have to choose my date and the rate is $597.
I could not seem to get across that as a consumer this is silly. So I have to look at all 365 days of the year until I find the day with $269.10??!!
Called Corp. And same thing. I said you are paying for that ad, and I cannot take advantage of the rate.
She also asked my dates and I said, the $269 date. Impossible to know when that is, pick a date.
So I asked if she could pass this on to someone that I live in Boston and could come any date and would stay with them and bring friends!
Am I asking too much?
