Hi all,
I am studying images within advertising and I wanted to know if there is a particular name for the kind of strategy used in the following example:
Say a fruit juice company are advertising how 'real' their fruit juice is but instead of showing great looking fruit they display fruit that looks wierd shaped, or is going off etc. This then backed up with some text on the advert like "We prefer to use real fruit".
So i guess it's when the text contradicts the image in a way. There must be a name for this kind of advertising strategy i'm hoping!
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance guys & gals
