Is there a way to break the sync speed?

well considering your D3200 can't shoot at 1/8000.. :)

why must you shoot at those speeds with flash? The little information you give, the little help we can provide.

Ok, i'll give you one of the shots that i want to do. Lets say you have a 100 meter sprinter with the sun in the picture underexposing the side that is facing you, how would you both freeze him dead in his tracks and get a proper exposure?

example:

A few flashes powered to 1/8 or 1/4 probably.

But here's something for you.

I mounted my SB700 in manual mode. I set it to 1/128 so it wouldn't contribute to the picture.

I turned my YN560ii to S1 at 1/1 with the red panel directly over the SB700.

I then took this shot at 1/4000:

so like I said, a PC cord to your YN622TX might just do it.

So the second flash, is it triggered by the pc cord or the flash from your sb700?

I was using optical slave for that, just to test.

That could come in handy in rare occasions.

Rare occasions? I thought you HAD TO, under risk of certain death, shoot 1/1000+ with flash. I just showed you an easy way to do it with the equipment you already own.

The only thing I didn't try was trigger the flash through my RF603s because I don't have a straight PC cord to try it with. But I'd imagine it would work.

I think you just want an excuse to buy a D7100 :)
