I have one and it works pretty well inside at reasonably close range. It does take away a lot of power away from the flash so it will effectively lower your range.

I agree. My GF Lightsphere is gathering dust. A 4x6 sheet of white hobby foam rubber banded to the flash works just as well for me in most situations.

Why not a lumiquest pocket bouncer or Sto-Fen omni bounce? I've heard that the Gary Fong Lightsphere is just an over priced piece of tupper ware..if you want the same effect save yourself the money..go to the dollar store, buy a tupper ware bowl, cut a hole to fit your flash..and your done..you now have your own lightsphere without the added money

I have one of those Lightspheres - didn't seem to make a difference so it kind of became a "hat" for my daughter cabbage patch kid, sitting in closet. I'm guessing if I were not able to bounce flash it may work well.
