Definitely looks crystalline to me, just the sort of thing you'd get if salt water evaporated on the mirror.
It can probably be washed off the mirror using distilled water - but it's highly likely the water has got to many other parts & started corrosion. The remaining camera internals will not be so easily restored. Send it back.
