Trying to capture the uniqueness of teenagers from her bracelets to her nail polish etc. I did this pose hoping to incorporate it all......was I asking too much? I do have a farther crop that works as well too. But I really love this photo of her. Is the crop ALL wrong? I need some shredding! Give it to me........does this work?

Looks to me like she's about to get patted down by a police officer. Could you show off her flair in a more natural pose?

That's what I was afraid of! Thanks! :)

The pose looks like she is posing the nail polish for a catalog. I would have put her hands up to her face instead of so much space between.

You need some triptych action here.

It's a look. I would have also explored having her tilt her head back a bit and give me a more fun look. I would have also explored a different angle. Step to your left and get her hand more in the foreground and face in the bg.

As said above, a slight tilt of the head would of been great. Still a nice image though and i like the tone. The
triptych suggested by discojoe works a treat.

This is how I like to pose folks when shooting close to a wall.

If you want to capture the uniqueness of the girl with her bracelets etc., why there is a huge signature of yours right across her arm and her bracelett? Is her name CM Corrie Michael? To me it comes accross as rather pretentious.
The other thing that strucks me - a uniqueness of a person translates through her/his natural behaviour/posture. Here it is rather artificial and staged. And as much as I try i can not find anything unigue in this bracelet or her blue nails. Sorry if I dissappoint you.

It's almost never a good idea to have the back of the hand (especially a woman's hand) toward the camera. It creates a big flat area of skin that is relatively unimportant but distracts attention away from the face.

It's usually better to post the hand so that they thin edge is toward the camera. This makes the hands look smaller and they don't distract the viewer as much. Great example by Texkam above.

no disappointment at all....I appreciate everyone's opinion! If I liked it enough to not care I wouldn't have posted....I like it, but am unsure about it so wanted to see some critique! :) Thanks
