Is the 18-55 a kit lense? I know thats the range I got on my Nikon Kit. If it is a kit lense, 129 doesn't seem too crazy lol.

Yes, it should be the kit lens. I got a new camera for Christmas, but it was the body only. (somebody had advised santa not to get the kit lens) So I bought a Canon EF-S 55-250 because it was in my price range. But it is too much zoom for what I want to shoot…I’m getting frustrated because I’m not sure where and what lens to get. So I thought I’d get the kit lens for starters…

Spend your money elsewhere, truthfully .... Better to save yourself 150 and put that towards better glass.

I found a 5DMII online for 1799 new in box with all accessories. I clicked an ad on this site.... I was thinking the same thing since it's 2499 everywhere else. They had a 7D for 1299 I think....

Landscapes mostly. I like close-ups to (macro is the correct term I think). I dunno, maybe a lens that is shorta multi-purpose, good walk around and shoot. Don't know if I'm making any sense. But something under $300ish.
