What's new

Is TPF 'the Internet'?

Ah see, well, thank you, runnah....I guess I had the quote just slightly incorrect, and my search terms were not just right, so I totally came up empty in multiple searches. I saw that movie, must have been in the summer of 1976, because that was the summer Channel 3 from Salem started running really OLD movies like Marx brothers movies, Abbott & Costello stuff....stuff that simply had not been on TV on any regular kind of basis for literally decades. They even ran the old Jack Benny Show episodes, Ozzie and Harriet, and so on. back in those days of basically three or four channels, a "new TV station" was a big deal. Even if the programming was twenty to thirty years behind the times.

Because, wouldn't life just be swell if everybody we dislike would just go away and leave **us* alone, so *we** could enjoy our lives, unmolested by people we find annoying?

Ok.. looking for the downside on this plan.. hmm.. not finding it. Rotfl

A long time ago, I saw an old B&W movie, probably shot in the 1940's, in which the protagonist says, "Shaddddup, kid! Go away! You're bothering me!" to a young boy asking him questions. I tried to find that as a video clip on YouTube today...I thought the actor might have been W.C. Fields, so I did several searches on Google, and was FLOODED with results, but could not find what I was looking for.
Are you sure it wasn't Foghorn Leghorn?

I know, Designer. I thought the same thing: "Oh Lawd! Going to be some confused misinformed people out there!!" But, let's hope that said people do some looking up history and google some stuff on their own Incase they go that route..

Will be getting to a real PC that doesn't have websense! Can't wait!

I ignore a lot of threads. The problem is that while I have gone to watch some TV and left the computer on with my account still open, my little friend Jose sneaks back in and types all kind of stuff as if he were me. I usually don't find out until the next morning.

Foghorns' version is just a knock-off of W.C.'s

Ok, I've seen threads degenerate into Nikon vrs Canon. Filter vrs no Filter. Mirroless vrs DSLR. Your not seriously suggesting we go down the "Which came first the chicken or the egg" route now are you? Rotfl

See I was going to blame it on your ruggedly handsome good looks and your devilish charm. Hmm.. yup, going to have to burn all those romance novels. They really are starting to warp my mind.. lol

<--------.....slowly steps away from the keyboard.

LOL, using your self-censor I see.
