Italian Sunset at the Battistero, Pisa

CC welcome here - starting to filter through my Italy pictures and felt I had to share this one. We were tight on time but fortunate enough to see this place during sunset, and what a sight it was!
Edit: Does anyone like/hate the lens flare? Considering trying to remove it.

Unfortunately, the lens flare was the first ting to catch my eye. I think even if you removed that bit in the top left, it would help a lot not drawing attention to the large flare on the building. Still, beautiful light! Feels a bit dark on the sky.

The flare spots don't bother me much, but I'm wondering if this thing really tilts or is it distortion? That bugs me more than perhaps other people.

Yeah I might try that. The light was incredible!

It's an awkward spot, the building leans one way, the ground slopes another, and the wall slopes yet another direction.

Ok I removed the lens flare, preferences? My gf likes it "with the fancy stuff" (lens flare) and I'm on the fence.

I like it much bette without the flare. You(viewer) don't get distracted as much when looking at the building. IMO
