You need to make the background consistent in the first one, I think. The section below her ear is a different texture and a darker color, both of which bring attention to that location and away from the couple.

I would also prefer a different color background, to be honest. This one is so close to skin-tone that the people kind of blend in - especially in the first one.

Good points ^^ I would also suggest getting the flash off of the camera and to one side. The monochrome conversion seems a little soft and rather lacking in contrast. In #3, consider raising the camera ("Up the nose" shots are rarely attractive) to subject's eye-level and have them look towards the camera. Unless the viewer can see what the subject is looking at, there's no reason for him not to be looking toward us.
