It's that time again, July 4th!!!

Here is a quick shot with the Canon point and shoot. Here are the 2 yahoo's with our collection so far. Should be about twice the amount by monday night. Will be about 20 or so families here on the 4th. You really can't see it (kids t-shirts) but we had T-shirts made for the event to help cover fireworks cost. The shirts say "Copapalooza" July 4th 2nd annual (actually 3rd but wife made a mistake) 2006. 3 fireworks shots, a badge and handcuffs.
It just keeps getting bigger every year! Starts with a pool party and huge cookout, then try and not burn down any houses :lol:

Bottle rockets??? Uh, well.... they are sorta illegal here... So they are not in the pic. There are a few "set aside" you know. The wife say's no crazy stuff this year, last year we were shooting them from our mouth. Burn't shirts, faces, etc. Was a good time. Along with rolling a dune buggy, and well, was a crazy fun night!

Looks like fun, but I love your avatar. Your boxer is beautiful! I have an 8 month old boxer puppy and a 1.5 year old boxer/doberman mix. My 13 year old boxer had to be put to sleep this past January. We are a little boxer crazy around here. Once again, beautiful pup :lovey:

Bottle rockets are illegal and all that other stuff is fine? Personally I say who needs bottle rockets when you have those mini mortars. those are lots of fun.

Oh, artillery are the best. Sadly, this is the first year I won't get to have a big fireworks fun night. They declared the area a "disaster" zone. Grr.. they have been trying for years to make us stop shooting them. *sigh* They finally got us this year.

bytch, yes that is my boxer, 3 years old going on 4. She eats well, pizza and whatever else my kids give her. Sorry to hear about your boxer, it must be difficult, hopefully does not happen here. The kids would be devistated.

As far as bottle rockets, yea, can't have them here. Go figure.... Other things that make so much more sparks and fire are just fine. Crazy state. The collection is growing day by day.
