So here's what we look like at 8:45 am this morning.

Temp dropping, winds strengthening in SW ON now. It's the lake effect stuff that creates havoc. Might just hunker down and battle it late today/early tomorrow. Stay safe.

We don't have home delivery, so no mailboxes with address numbers. I put up a reflective sign so we can be founf by Fire, EMS and Door Dash. There is still some snow left from previous fallings.. I guess the post is about three feet or just under a meter tall.


I'm ready, so bring it on!

We don't have home delivery, so no mailboxes with address numbers. I put up a reflective sign so we can be founf by Fire, EMS and Door Dash. There is still some snow left from previous fallings.. I guess the post is about three feet or just under a meter tall.


I'm ready, so bring it on!

Don't forget the spare shear pins, brother. I've been splashing windshield de-icer on
the impellers of our blower fleet(OK, just 2)after use. Damned ice jams 'em, especially in
the gap between the housing and the backside of the impeller. Ready to defect to Tahiti...

I'm sure a spare was included; I'll have to look in the spare parts bag on my next trip downstairs. Otherwise we have two decent hardware stores nearby amd the truck is already in 4-High.

Took a real short walk to the end of the driveway. Maybe 2"-3" / 4.7 cm-6.6 cm so far. I'll go get some more in the morning.

From the walk I took after a second pass to clean my driveway:. My snowblower is great but it's too small to handle the full expected accumulation, so I went out twice today to keep ahead of it.

This was from about an hour ago. Some of it might be from the snow we still had on the ground before this morning, but no more than about 2-3 inches at the most.

And the best part? SNOW DAY TOMORROW, HOSERS!! I'll clear the driveway and take a nice long, snowy walk

I’ll run the sb in the morning. I think it will handle up to 26” but I’d rather go in two passes. I’m not worried about the back half, just where we park.

Every day is a snow day or weekend for me.

So, the snow is about 2-1/8 (2.125) stout cans deep, but is still falling. We may hit 3 cans before it's done.
