HELLO ALL. I HAVE JUST STARTED INTO PHOTOGRAPHY AND AM WANTING TO DO AUTOMOTIVE. IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP I WOULD APPRECITATE IT

What kind of cars are you planning on photographing? Classic hot rods, Luxury, Tuner cars, past to present etc?

Oh man!

But yeah, car photography is all about lighting and surroundings. Very clean cars. What type of car photography? Sitting still? Moving? Show cars? Race cars?

Its very hard... Any parking lot event is just snapshot ****.. the cars are parked too close... And the parking lot lights suck...

If its cloudless, I wouldn't shoot till the sun is at an angle.. If its overcast, then u can shoot whenever... The clouds will give better light... At night time, of course you'll need a tripod.. A circular polarizing filter on every car shot all day...

Most likely, you won't shoot anything amazing.. Its gonna take LOTS of photoshop to make a crazy pic... Or $5000 worth of lighting gear...
