Ju Jitsu Girl

A friend and co-worker received her black belt in Ju Jitsu last year. She also studies with the sword.
I did her portait for her as a congratulations gift.

Man... that's some flat lighting on her face... and the eyes seem a bit overworked.

But what a nice setting! I like the posing too.

You're a good friend to do this for her.

tighter crop is definitely needed, PP is a little overdone in her face. she looks scary facing the camera

In any other setting, I would say that the whites in the eyes are slightly overdone. But in this portrait, it seems to fit. I would think she wants to look menacing, since she is a black belt in Ju Jitsu. So, this portrait works IMO. I absolutely love the green background also.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I matched the flash with the background and unfortunately the flash was on camera; result: the flat lighting.
The "look" on her face and the eyes PP were intentional.

I think if you were going to use the framing that you did you should have had her turn the sword out so it went across the frame.
