Wandered down into the abandoned warehouse district on my walk this week. Spring even looks good there. Watching plants take back the earth is one of my favorite things.

Jealous. I'd love to be able to wander like this.. lol but I have my son attached to me at all times, and apparently we are way too close to the Mexican border and lots of cartel... soo isolated locations are a no go.

Abandoned properties do attract photographers. I would try a different angle to accentuate the plant growth, perhaps a low angle perspective.

I don't know and here I am guilty.

I used to tease my students -- with the advent of so much automation in modern cameras even to the point of smile detection I would tell them I was advising one of the camera makers on the development of an auto-art feature. Instead of helping find art however it would work negatively but locking the shutter release and displaying a circle-with-diagonal-line icon. We were building a database of software recognizable images that the camera could sense and then lock the release: old barns, hot-air balloons, cats, railroad tracks, bums with bottles in paper bags, abandoned farm equipment -- I'm sure you can add to the list.
