Rotate the 6D to "tall" framing.

Very nice. It's been interesting watching your growth in skill over the past months, this is another fine example. The only negative I see is that you did a great job on processing the skin on the face and neck, but failed to carry that over on the hand.

Very lovely although perhaps a tiny bit less skin work on face. Her face is superhumanly perfect.

I hadn't noticed, maybe because it's the same aggravated expression I get from DW when I ask her to model for practice. LOL

Personally I don't think the hand needs any retouching. The clothes need some specs removed though.

The lighting is nice, but I don't really like that she's crammed into the corner of the frame.

There are FOUR comments related to the skin smoothing. I'll add a fifth: perhaps the hand and its skin would be less-noticeable if it were "burned down" more closely to match the brightness of the face and neck? I think that darkening the hand and doing nothing more, would be enough to "camouflage" the difference in skin post work.

The overall portrait color and lighting is good, with caveats:
The burning on the neck is noticeable.
I would crop down int he same ratio to loose some of the NE corner weight.



I like the symmetry of the light in the eyes and gives that faux-glossy look from the 1930's.
Tone is nice and contrast good as well.
