Just Dropped my lens!!! Helpp!!

Hey guys, i just dropped my Canon EF 70-210 zoom lens. All the glass is fine adn everything, just the focus (and autofocus) is jammed. Like it turns in manual, its just very hard. and the electric is fine because it turns a little bit but the motor is not powerful enough to actually turn it with the friction on it.

What do you guys think i should do?

You might call Canon but given the age of the lens chances are there is not a lot they could do to repair it-- they run out of spare parts after a while.

it still worth the call - might be that nothing is broken as such, but that the AF threads/cogs inside are out of alignment. Don't force it anymore (That might do more damage) and give Canon a call or see if there is a local camera shop that will do repairs in your area

Stop "screwing" with it. You will just damage it more, send it in.

If you have a reputable camera repair shop nearby, try bringing it to them. They might be able to give you a quick assessment as to the severity of the injury.
