Intentionally... I thought it fit the image. plus it got rid of some of the neck folds and facial imperfections. I usually don't soft that much.. but hey...

Basically I think the same as everyone else really. If I were to edit it, I would do it like this:

Yea.. but a lot of us who have been shooting for forty five years or so, and did so professionally... are not really of horizontal portraits unless there is a reason for it being shot that way. Not really too fond of head crops either (no matter how popular it is on Facebook!)

Oh! Well that is really good to know, actually! I'm getting ready to start school for photography in June so hopefully I'll learn things like that! Even though I didn't take this picture and I would have shot it vertical myself if I would have taken it.
