Hey guys!

Sorry for kind of dropping off the face of the earth for a while, it's been forever since I really posted here. In a strange way I was actually starting to miss all.. well most... well maybe some.. er.. a few (couple) of you... KIDDING! heehehehe

Seriously though, I did miss sharing what I'm up to here and following everyone's photography journey. I just started lurking again and have been amazed to see how much people are growing =)

Anyway that aside.. I've stepped back from the buisiness end of photography to take things at a slower pace and shoot what I feel like shooting, when I have the TIME to do so... mostly for friends and family.

My sister in law was married in December, and I had planned on shooting her wedding NEXT october..but she figured moving it up nearly a year was no problem for me, right? oye..

It was probably one of the most difficult things I've ever photographed..and I'll get more into why in a later post.

For now I just wanted to toss out my favorite from the day and hear some other perspectives. CC is always welcome! Thanks for taking the time to view =)

Settings: ISO 2000
f 1.4 on 50mm 1.4
SS 1/100
Light: Dimly glowing office lamp camera right about 6 feet away from subject, faint light coming in from the office door about 12 feet or so camera left

Nice work Aayria; that's a great capture! I do have to admit though I kind of wish it was a full body shot, but her expression, the lighting and pose are great! Good job.

Thanks for commenting =)

I agree..I *reallyyyy* wanted this shot, or at least one from this set to be a full body shot, but I had nowhere else to go. I was backed up as far as I could in that little office with my 50mm on a crop sensor. I'm wondering if I had played with the angle a bit to be more camera left where there was actually more room to move... if the shot would have worked as nicely with a full body in the frame. The only problem, is that the light I wanted was directly camera right, and I would have lost it if I changed position.

C'est la vie I suppose... I'll try to post more from this set tomorrow if I can get back to the computer. =)

Good to see you back!! You missed a lot of....well..drama mostly, but you still missed some good laughs. I'm still VERY new and will try to give cc. I like it, but something about your faint skin is just throwing me off. I may just be me and if it is I'm sorry. But, other than that, I like it a lot. I like the lighting and like the way you improvised with the desk lamp. I'm impressed an hope I can get better some day. Nice job!

Oh what the heck why not.. Adding two more before I turn in for the night =)

Well I'm glad you added more! I absolutely LOVE the second one!!! I love the composition, light, expression, I like it all...VERY nice work, and thanks for sharing.

Oh wow!!!! Fantastic job! Cant wait to see more :) what were the exif datas for the last 2 ,?

Amazing job! And she is gorgeous.

Not overkeen on the first shot the bride looks rather bored and I feel that she is to central in the frame, the next 2 are however in a different league much better composition and a bride who looks really involved with the shots
