Got a call last week that they need a last minute wedding photog and as I'm new to the game and charge very little, I said sure. It was 15 people or so. They needed me from 6am to about 10am tops. I thought it wasn't enough so I offered that I'd also take the b&g out and do couple shoots after.

Well, we did go but being 22 degree outside and the extreme wind, we had to leave. I told them I can't finish the set w/out these shots but they agreed that we'll meet another day when it's warmer and do the shoot. We would be a lot more comfortable then.

But here is the ring shot. Notice groom's ring is upside down because it was too top heavy to stand straight and kept falling down so I put it upside down. Should I clone out the little holes?

Other than this has been done alot, I am not liking the crop on it. I think either a vertical or horizonal crop would have sufficed. If you were doing this shot, I would actually use the cliche shot. With it opened to a page that related to love, happiness, something along those lines. I can only see numbers, makes it look like it was done in a phone book.

Take your pick my friend :D

Looks good to me. I dont think the holes hurt the image at all. I would guess they probably would rather see the rings how they are anyways.
Nice job

I really like this :) I wouldn't clone them out if I were you but I would be interested to see what it looks like with the holes cloned.

I don't think that cloning out the holes is necessary, When the couple looks at it they may wonder who's ring it is, since I am assuming that the ring has some sort of stones? Looks like hers is right side up? So it gives it good balance IMO

I dig it the way it is. The holes don't need to be taken out, I think that it adds character to the ring itself. Love the texture of the pages.

Good shot.

Black and white to go please.

I would love to see a black and white version of this photo. It is really cool how the shadows form a heart. Great work.

Nice shot, I would have liked to see just a little more detail on the pages though. The glare/reflection on the right page, bugs me.

If I give my opinion, I'll get attacked by the peace keeper.

I like the shot. The holes don't take away from it at all if you ask me, it adds to it. I would love to see it in B&W as well to compare.

i would like to see more photos of the wedding.

Ohh you gotta WAIT for that my friend. I probably won't start editing till the next few days.

I'll put something together in the next few weeks and post it here.

I agree, doesnt speak to the wedding or their love. There was one posted last summer that was really good with the rings and page turned to a significant phrase.
