I just picked up a canon t1i the other day. Finally had time to take it out in the yard today to play around.

Yeah I was having a heck of a time trying to get her before she took off. First I forgot to adjust my WB ruining what would have been the best shot. As you can see in this shot

Then I wasn't quite ready

Then I couldn't get her to turn her head and show me her eye again.

Finally she decided she had had enough of me messing around.

These are pretty little birds, we have them in our pastures. They make a sound that makes me think of seagulls.

I love shooting animals for this entire reason. The frustrating agony of getting the settings all right, all right and when you take the shot, they move or fly away! lol Great shots and look forward to more. I like the eye shot. Very crisp.

quality could be better but they're good enough. really liked that first one with that orange ring in the birds eye. also the one where its walking and you snapped it mid-step. its in an awkward position but came out pretty cool.
