Kimmeridge Bay images

These were taken at Kimmeridge Bay in Dorset.
Taken on 3/3/07, I know a few people on here go to Kimmeridge fairly frequently. There were a few photographers there that day, anyone from here?

Nice shots. #4 works best for me with #1 a close second.
Me and my better half were at Kimmeridge that day but nearly everyone had left by the time we arrived. We'd been to Blue Pool in the afternoon and popped in to Kimmeridge for the sunset. My images here: http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73869

well its not me as I've not been there so far this month

Also I've not been round that part, thats around the by the tower isn't it? I normally go over the right hand side and slip and fall over the rocks

Yeh it's directly under Clavel Tower, didn't get any shots of it though, cos it's got scaffolding all over it at the moment.

Neo, are these scanned self-made b&w prints?

In many that do show a horizon I find it a bit too centred for my liking, I like the horizons to be very far up or down (often even further than just on the border to the top or bottom third), but that may well be just me.

Exposurewise I feel that Photo 5 is best, with 3 coming close, but that may be because you had a much smaller dynamic range in those two. I do enjoy the scene captured in 3, that child will sooner or later get his boots filled with water, I guess (well, when I look at the pic I just see this happening! ), and that is all the fun, isn't it? A pity that raincoat and dog are a bit blown. (This is why I'm asking if you made the prints in the darkroom. If so, would there be means to prevent this? I am sure there are, hm?)

The light was not entirely the best, was it? Very high in the sky and very bright. Or so it seems.

Yeah I had three beach shoots to do in one day and this is the one I got to at about 1.30 so the light wasn't great.
They are digital images, I may try and do something with the dog and the little girl's coat but I don't know if the detail is there to begin with.
