Thanks! That was late in the day, after we climbed Mt. Democrat... starting to rain, and very soft, dreary light... but so beautiful, it is hard to capture!

not bad, have you done and post processing to it? If it were my photo, (real quick here) I'd make the mountain stand out a bit more by making it a bit brighter, particularly the foreground and the lake and then increase the contrast on the sky to make it a bit moodier - you know what I am saying? Otherwise, awesome photo, I could imagine it would be hard to capture as mountains usually are when that close. well done

Thanks.... did a little bit of PP on it, but not much. I am from the time when you got what you shot! Still not used to doing so much PP on everything I shoot.. just seems strange. Still learning PS also.... long ways to go.
