I went to a KORN show as media and took some photos to build my portfolio. I only had an 18-55mm that could AF so I didnt get the greatest photos but tell me what you think and maybe a good lens to get for shows.

they are pretty grainy so i guess you tried to use an iso to make up for the dark stage??

there really is no need for the first photo....

and work on your watermarking, try bringing the opacity of the text down between 25-40

and maybe a good lens to get for shows.
For concert photography, a 'fast' lens would be a big advantage. That's a lens with a large maximum aperture (small F number). A 50mm F1.8 or F1.4 would be a good choice.

Looks like you were up close and personal. NICE! Throw on a really wide lens and grab the singer belting it out or the lead guitar player in a face melting solo...with the band or the crowd (off in the far 3/rd of the frame). But...you will need some fast glass for that as Big Mike mentioned = NOT CHEAP$!$

Guys the grain is from all the fog they had and the lights where so crazy that it was hard for my crappy lens to keep up. I have a 50mm 1.8 but its manual focus on the D60. so there was no way I could use it there,

Definately nice images especially for the lens you were using. Just remember the fastest way to loose access to any kind of "media" credentials is to get known as the guy who does not have the gear to do the job. I tried this kind of photography for a while and had a good few decent jobs but my lack of decent gear was crippling and I eventually stopped getting calls because of my lack of gear. After that I put a bunch of money into medium format gear and took a change in jobs. To me a 70-200 2.8 or whatever similar lens is made for your camera system is an absolute minimum for newspaper/media photography
