I have some old Kodachrome 64 KR film I got with an old bag of lenses. I shot a role but the local CVS can't develop it, just the CR. What's the reason for this? Will a local camera shop be able to develop it? Is it going to be an astronomical price to develop? Thanks.

The only remaining place in the USA that can process Kodachrome is
Dwaynes. It cost $8 for a 24-exposure roll or $10 for 36-exposure rolls.

See:
Kodachrome slide film developing

Kodachrome requires a special process and special equipment to develop.
Kodak discontinued Kodachrome not long ago.

Wow. Feel stupid now for wasting it on my first film excursions. Well I have one roll left for when I know what I'm doing.
