Because my son-in-law is a cat 1 amateur bicyclist, races in the cat 1/pro races and we attend all/most of his races, I have a little appreciation of the strength and fitness levels of these athletes. Just to be close to the course and watch the pro peloton go by at 30 mph and watch them keep this up for 90 minutes is to appreciate just how much above the crowd elite athletes are. Whatever LA did he only put a small addition onto amazing feats of strength, endurance and skill.

Lance may not have been a nice guy or a good guy or an honest guy but he was/is an amazing athlete.

do you trust this source? i don't find that story with other news sources?

I'm not really sure how accurate that source is. But I keep Finding snippets about how his cancer wasn't exactly as destructive as he made it out to be.

So then are you suggesting that the dozens of medical professionals that worked on him and took him near death during chemotherapy were either incompetent or also part of some grand scheme to falsify the nature of his cancer?

He doped. So did everyone else. While I wish he hadn't, I could get over that.
He was still an amazing athlete.
But to perpetuate the lie that he didn't, to call OTHERS liars, repeatedly, who said that he did and insist over and over and over again on his complete innocence--for nearly a DECADE...nope. THAT, I can't get down with.

Runnah hit he nail on the head on both counts. He was the best doper in a field of dopers. Not to mention all of his teammates that have been busted and in their attempts to make themselves look good the first words out of their mouths after "OK I admit it" were usually "Lance did it too it's all his fault!". I always found that annoying but after a few of them said it you couldn't ignore it.

As for the charge of lying about cancer I say if his balls don't work for s@$t you must acquit.

Damn. I can forgive the guy for using the steroids because it's not uncommon at all in his sport (not that it's ethical...it's just common), but lying about cancer has really turned me off to supporting Lance probably forever.

So you are saying the man had his testicle cut off for no reason at all? So he could pretend to have cancer? So he could use epogen which does nothing more than help your body produce more RBC's? He could have gotten the same effect by living in the mountains...no testicle chopping, no drugs, no "doping" charges. This seems a little silly to me.
