Oh, and I like Guinness. Not to mention fresh apple pie with a flaky crust and vanilla bean ice cream on top; with a quick zap in the microwave to get it warm.

Your photo above would have been showered with praise, and heaped with glowing accolades, and would have caused people to come from far and wide to stare at it and to bask in the glow of its rich,dark blacks and its sharply rendered, fine detail; women would have thrown themselves at you and professed undying love for your genius and your artistic sensibilities and technical proficiency with the camera; grown men would have envied your artistry; yes, all the above would have been showered upon you if only your photograph had been made and printed in late 1849. But, alas, this is 2009, and 160 years after the early days of photography, shots like the one above are what is called passe. Even for high school kids.
