OK. I'm starting a new painting tomorrow.

Nothing major, just a little 9" x 12" acrylic.

It's of a Canadian goose in flight.

I got a number of reference photos from the royalty-free site I hang out at.

I'll need black paint,

 

[snowbear96]

and white paint,

 

[snowbear96]

and raw umber paint which is a greyish-brown,

 

[snowbear96]

and some cerulean for the background,

 

[snowbear96]

and some green paint for the background,

 

[snowbear96]

and some Payne's Grey to tone down the green.

Cerulean is light blue;

 

[snowbear96]

Some might even call it "sky blue."

I'll use cerulean for the sky.

Some of the Canadian geese that have taken up temporary residence here have hatched their chicks!

I saw little yellow geese chicks on Saturday.
