Thanks everyone! My local college offers some photoshop courses but only once a year, so I need something in the meantime. I'm going to try F1 right now, and sign up for that free trial during a week that I'll have some time to utilize it. Thanks everyone!

As far as college courses, Photoshop is used by many more graphic artists and other publishing professionals than by photographers.

You will find that most, but certainly not all, Photoshop classes are more about those graphic arts and publishing tasks than the types of things photographers want to do.

If the text for the class at your college is using Adobe Photoshop CS5 Classroom in a Book you will likely learn more about graphic ats/publishing stuff.
