I think it works well. I'd be interested in the process.

I think it worked great, but.... her skin was pretty flawless before.

yep... I would like to see how this process works on someone who doesn't already have perfect skin.

If you don't mind my asking, what did you do to this shot?

I purchased the Professional Portrait software and it does a tremendous job on really bad skin and acne. Now the question is, when to use it and when not to. And how much is TOO much!?

Did you do yours in photoshop? Looks fantastic btw, and lucky YOU!!!

Thanks! (Lucky me!) The one with my wife, it was good SOOC. That shot, I used my 70-200 2.8L II and my 580EX. The shadow wasn't harsh with it. Over all, the image was near perfect. But still wanted to see if I could make it better.

Ahhh been spending long hours wathing tons of youtube videos on smoothing skins, bugging photoshop people and trying to find out and they don't wanna give away their secrets but practicing the past few days. Masking, blurring, sharpening etc.

Here's an edit of the photoshot I did last weekend of the model w/ paint. Much much better IMO! Also played w/ saturation/vibrance to bring out some colors in her skin and paint.

Oh and I finally got Flickr! :)

I think no matter how smooth and flawless skin is, in this day and age, additional smoothing is going to be necessary. Both of your examples have great complextions, but the smoothing you did def made a difference for the better. Guarantee both ladies would prefer the smoother photo.

good work.

Yeah, and Doz, not sure what program you're using but doing it manually, it was a PAIN in the butt w/ this one! He's got a lot of stuff on his face. I may have made him a bit too bright in the PP? I'm falling asleep and I didn't have time to mess w/ his eyes to get that glare off though.

It's called Professional Portrait (ads always in the magazines) and the jpeg version was like $49 - to use it with .tif files is $79.

Takes less than five minutes to do all that you are doing manually and u can go back and tweak. When you look at their website examples, they are amazing yet accurate examples of what it can do. You can even changed the shape of the face and tuck the double chins lol.

Highly suggest checking it out, but the ones you have posted are very good. You can download free trial, but can't save images with the trial version. fun to play with before you buy.

That is not your wife. That is MY wife!!!!!! When did you take these pictures? Ok I got it, you're the UPS guy," right? Pool guy? Tennis coach? Fitness trainer? Ok buddy,"who are you?

I think you made his arms looks a bit too girly in this one.

These shots look awesome Mo. You said you are doing it manually, and I am assuming you are using some form of photoshop. Is there a way to do this in LR3? What tools would be used to do something like this in LR3?

Are you using it with something like photoshop or does it run on its own? Do you know about its compatibility with elements or LR3? Looks pretty impressive, I may check out the trial soon if it works with LR3.

I bought Professional Portrait and it is a sample and as effective it looks on the site. What you see is what you get and for only a few dollars.
