Hey there,

I purchased the Sigma 17-70 2.8 Macro, this lens is very good but sometimes I don't have really sharp results and I think it doesn't deserve well my D200 sensor...
do you know if the Nikon 18-70 DX is better? would you have some comparison elements?

another questionm Is the 18-55 a better choice?
thanks for your time!

cheers!

Don't put too much weight behind Rockwell's reviews...A better source for Nikon lens info is Bjorn Rorslett, unlike Rockwell, Bjorn actually shoots with the equipment he is reviewing. Go here: http://www.naturfotograf.com/lens_surv.html#top1
I know nothing about the Sigma lens, but I can tell you the Nikkor 18-70mm DX lens is far better than the Nikkor 18-55mm.
The D200 will defintely start to show the limitations of these consumer lenses. For the D200 I'd recommend the 17-35mm f/2.8 or the 28-70mm f/2.8 Nikkors.

thanks guys, I'll check this out...

I use the nikkor 18-70dx all the time, its quite versatile and as sharp as a tack
