Lens for my D300?

Hi, I just recently purchased a D300 from a friend of mine, it has a Sigma 18-200 lens on there right now, what's a good lens for this camera for taking pictures in the Rockies and lens of choice for taking pictures of animals, 10 to 20ft away? Thanks!

For usual shooting of landscapes I would recommend Nikkor 16-85 lens which is not that expensive and comes with great picture quality. For taking pictures in wildlife I would recommend some telephoto lens e.g. Sigma 70-200 (not macro version) or something ''longer'' e.g Nikkor 70-300 or maybe something even longer (Nikkor 80-400).
