Which body are you putting it on?
If you're putting it on a Leica, you're only cheapening the whole setup. The quality body deserves a quality lens, some would consider it blasphemy to put an industar on one.
If you have a Leica copy such as fed or zorki or whatever, then yes, the industar is "good enough"

Your sample photo looks pretty low-resolution...is that the "best" that lens can do? It looks dreadfully average.

It started out to be 24mp, after the new Photoshop, saved for web, and attached to here. That is what you get. I thought it would be better than a test chart for this purpose.
