Lens on E-bay... advice please

If you need long, you need long. The 1.4x is nice, but barely longer...
The 2x won't be that bad quality drop off. Better than the 2 million mm lens on ebay...

Just make sure the lens is compatible with whatever extender you get.

bhphoto.com is your friend...everywhere else, they're overpriced.

Good quality Nikkor tele-converters are of good quality with good results 99% of the time. Here again, the cheap third party tele's are not worth sticking on a decent lens. The outcome is not worth the effort. Stick to good glass, both your primes and zooms, and your tele-converters. You won't be disappointed.
