Lens Recommendations?

brother, you have one hell of a prime lens which is the best for portrait. (50mm 1.4)
screw zoom ones get primes, thats all you need for portrait and try to get a pancake lens 40mm (that too)
lens doesn't matter muchly. you capture you edit and make the best of it. you'll get what you want afterall.
dont spend money on useless lenses such as 24mm or whatever the eff (pardon) you call that.

A 50 mm lens is not always the best focal length for making a portrait photograph. Neither is f/1.4 always the best aperture to use.

In fact many prime lenses are not at their sharpest when used wide open and have to stopped down for sharply focused images.

A big issue many have with fast 50's, is poor DoF control.
