Lensbabies? Are they any good?

Talk about hijackers!!!! What the hell does camera marketshare got to do with discussion of Lensbabies? I think Lensbabies are a piece of crap, but this thread is still about Lensbabies and NOT marketshare.

It was in response to a Canon crack from Derrel. If we started a seperate thread for every off shoot of a conversation, there would be endless chaos. However, I should have commented on the topic at hand first so I apologize. I think the best explanation of lensbaby was given in the first few posts. I also think they are crap. Then again, the screwy effects both with hardware and excessive PP, aren't really my thing so to each their own.

My point exactly. If someone says something absolutely off topic why is it necessary to carry the ball and run with it? Why not just ignore it and keep on topic? o hey tyler Im all for talking about marketshare -- just not here. You want to discuss that, open your own thread.

Canon also makes a damned fine line of photocopiers!!! And in the past, they made some very nice electronic calculators. And word processors as well. Canon is a very large, diversified company that will try and manufacture almost anything they can make a profit at making.

Is Ford a good car? Is Budweiser a good beer? Is the Whopper a good fast food hamburger? Are Lensbabies any good?

Do any of you "get it" yet? Pshaw....talk about 'effing dense....

Sandwiches? Are they any good? Electronic flashes? Are they any good? Tripods? Are they any good? Canon cameras? Are they any good? Photography books? Are they any good? Photographic umbrellas? Are they any good? Photo editing programs? Are they any good?

Is this becoming any clearer to you yet, genius? The "problem" here was a vague, idiotic question from an OP about an entire LINE of products...go to the Lensbaby site...they have multiple lenses, and quite a few different products. Maybe you could use a bit of brain power and understand what my "stupid" comment was about, you boor. Apparently though, you're still clueless.

Listen, I was cordial, even in your holier than thou lecturing. Dont make it personal by labeling me a goof. Also, atleast spell the name right. Derrel is known quite well on this forum for his unwaivering love for Nikon. Everyone toys with him about it. You have wasted just as much space of this thread as I have and are "encouraging" me to place you on ignore after having just met you.

Lensbabies are super fun! I saw a photographer (Paul Buceta) used one to shoot behind the scenes video for the new SESSIONS Magazine release.

geez... you guys need to chill out a little.

I have the Lensbaby composer - and it is a fun, little lens, I especially like it for portraits.
Although it hasn't gotten much use in the last year, I couldn't bring myself to part with it.

I'd rather use the lensbaby than post process, I spend too much time on the computer so the less post processing - THE BETTER!

Whether or not the Lensbaby is good for you will depend on your shooting style. Do some googling, look at the style of shots, read some reviews and decide if its a good fit. The Lensbaby isn't for everyone.
