What are you comments or thoughts on the NIKON AF 50 F1.8 D LENS.
I am starting in macro photography as well as portarit photography.
let me know if this lens will do the job for me?

just do a serach on Nifty Fifty... theres hundreds of threads in here on it already... as a heads up, it wont work for macro.. but its great for portrait

You didn't mention a budget, but to get one lens with the best of both worlds, check out Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 Micro. L00k here or here or here or here . (can you tell it's on my wish list?)
