Lenses

My 80-200 2.8D, but when i get my 50mm 1.4, that may be the most used.

70-200 f/2.8 OS

Gryph - have I ever said that I want your lens? Cause I do!

As for me -- eh no idea - at present probably either the MPE 65mm macro or the 70-200mm f2.8 IS L MII

Hey if I was shooting mostly macro then I would have picked a different lens, but since I mostly shoot Sports and wildlife, (the kind that can and sometimes does kill humans) that particular lens gets a lot of work. The 70-200 is probably my second most used lens. Not so much for wildlife, unless you consider a 300 + lineman wildlife.

Yeah I seem to recall you posting a pic of a lion a while back (before it vanished into the dark places of the net).
But yeah 70-200mm lenses do seem to have rather a special spot in being able to find into almost any photographers bag barring the prime addicts

My 24-105mm is my walk around lens, after that it is probably the 100-400mm - I do a lot of bird photography in season, i.e., when the ponds aren't frozen over and the ground isn't covered with snow - coming soon - we had our first dusting this am, but nothing like the folks in the eastern US and the Maritimes, although the skiing starts this weeked in the hills to the west, mostly on artifical (man-made) snow.

Cheers,

Depends.

I currently have 37 lenses & use many of them from time to time but I do have a favorite prime & zoom. The prime is a former Soviet Union Helios 44-2 a 58/2 & the zoom is a Tokina 35-105/3.5-4.3 close focus.

Now, most folk here will not know of these lenses as they are old manual focus lenses, like the other 35 of the 37 I currently own. BTW, I do not use the native auto lenses on my camera but the wife does on hers.

I love the control of a manual lens.

I have two main lenses I use equally ... Minolta AF 28-135mm and Sigma AF 300mm f/4.0
