So I tried to do one today and it didn't work outside.. my friend was literally diving onto the grass for like 5 times and it kept coming out super blurry. what are some good shutter speeds? I tried my 50mm prime and 15-55mm kit lens.. Inside when I was close to him it work, but didn't look good with the cluttered background. here is the best one from inside..

IMO it would look better shot from a different angle. His legs look really small compared to the rest of his body. The skin showing between his black shorts and black socks looks odd too next time have him take off his socks!!

Good job though!

Many people try to do this after the Asian lady got famous for it. But many people seem to get the idea a little bit wrong. Instead of making an image of someone that seems to just started to float through the air all of a sudden, they get tense looking jumping images. This is one of those. Even though the subject tries to pull off a casual looking face, the rest of the shot fails at this. And everything look too "set up".

I think that getting it right in the way I think about it when I see the word levitation is far from easy, and I do not think I could pull it off myself. But when people pull this off it looks cool, so I get that many want to try this.

Well like many of my photos here. I post because my family does a little photo contest. Just like this website, we pick a category and then submit our photos. This one was "down low" so I was shooting down low looking up at him. I thought it would be cool to try and capture it.
