Lighting, Backdrops, Props??????

What is the best kind of lighting to use in your studio. I am converting our spare room into my studio and getting ready to shop for lighting/umbrellas.etc. All advice and tips will be a great help.

What do you have in your studio that you can't do without?
Where is your favorite place to get backdrops & props?

Any other tips, tricks you have will be great.

What is the best kind of lighting to use in your studio

I would suggest strobes over continuous lights...but it would be possible to use either.

I will recommend Alienbees but there are certainly other brands and types of lights & accesories available.
