Lights off Flash on self portrait

i got bored so i set up my camera on the tripod and threw the sb-600 on there and set the timer and focused on a part of the wall and turned the lights off and stood where it was focused and i got this....

I thought it turned out good considering it was pitch black just had the flash pointed to the ceiling.


and yes i know i am a ugly SOB...lol

The SB-600 can light up a room pretty good, but I think you can get more creative. All that's missing from this photo is the rectangular bar hanging around your neck with numbers on it.

Try strobist.com for lighting info. Have you ever heard of a snoot? I made one out of a cereal box and got this shot.
