I love the contrast between the finery of the ladies compared to the worn overalls of the boy. He looks so much at home.

I'm assuming by this that you are scanning the negatives, but with what?? Did you use a scanner for that purpose or modify a flatbed?

I frequently got out on weekends and this was probably a Sunday -- ladies are dressed for church and the boy is dressed for play.

This was scanned using an Epson V series scanner. Right now I've been switching back and forth between a V750 and V600, not sure which one this was.

Impressive. Better than my Canon 880F but my photo's are not good enough yet to warrant the purchase. I have been messing up in the darkroom lately and getting discouraged. I work so hard it but such a noob, frustrating.

I've gotten pretty decent results from those Canon scanners as well. May have something to do with the fact that I'm scanning big film (medium and large format).

Very nice. "Warmth" is how I would title this image. What camera did you use?
