I wanted to experiment with somewhat of a different look....My sweet Miss Piper was (once again) my guinea pig.......

C&C per req:

Cute; while I'm not fond of the 'star effect' it is somewhat appropriate for these shots. The child seems slightly under-exposed and I can't help thinking some fill light from image left would have really helped things 'pop' a bit more. I would suggest cropping a bit off the RH side to mover her just a bit more off centre, and leveling the image as well. The second image doesn't strike me as well; without the connection of the child's face, it really seems to lack impact. One other suggestion I will make is to try and shoot with a longer focal length and as large an aperture as possible in order to reduce depth of field. In fact, while it's something I would normally shy away from, I wonder if apply a little subtle gaussian blur to the background might not help.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

Yes, Miss Piper is just as cute as can be!!! I can't offer any technical critique, but I think you have done a very nice job on these. I feel like there could be a few more frames. The next one showing her elevated off the ground (back turned to us), the next one slight more elevated and the last....poof she is gone.

I really see fairytell written all over these shots. Kudos!

I may be out of likes for the day. I like your $00.02!

She's adorable.. the idea here is adorable. They do feel a lil underexposed and cool/purple/green to me though.

Thanks so much ! I have several more images that I haven't played around with just yet. Most of them are in fact of her back because she has the attention span of a gnat:)

Thanks so much! I brought down the blues a touch already but I agree, it still looks a bit on the cool side:)

Just the nature of the subject suggests more of a diffuse look to this.
less green, less detail, etc.

Wow! Thanks so much for the edit ! Definitely has more of a 'magical' look to it. Would you mind me asking what edits you applied?

Big difference !! Love it! May I ask what edits you applied?

Very neat concept, and like the edits that others suggested. I like the symmetry of the trees in that first pic...has a nice balance to it! Very cool.
