New to macro, Im using the kit lens 18-105 that came with my D7000 and a set of macro tubes......

It seems very soft to me. I think you missed focus. Also, the shot is over exposed some.

To be honest, I would dump this one and keep working on it.

DOF looks a bit narrow. I would like to have seen the other side ot the critters head still in focus.

The lighting looks quite harsh, wait till its overcast or use diffused flash to get nice soft light that shows up all the detail.

Not bad......macro shots can be tough. To really get a good macro shot you need to use a nice macro lens like the Nikon 105mm 2.8, you will be amazed by that lens!
