Beautiful! "Most" photographed or not, I can see why someone would want to shoot it. The square (first one) is my favorite.

I have been wanting to do something like this for quite some time, but there is a forest and some houses in the background. I was on my way to a summary lecture, and noticed that non of those distractions were visible due to thick fog. I did not have time to a detour, though, but luckily the fog was there on my way back two hours later.

So now you have the story as well

Well, that's a beautiful old tree and he deserves to be photographed! Great job using the fog to handle the background elements.

I can't decide between the first or third version - I love the misty tree in the background, soft and ethereal - but also like it with a stronger presence, deeper black in the third.
