Looking for a deal on Canon 5D Mark II

[silentanathema]

I have heard that sometimes there are really good deals on the 5D's and L series lenses. But all I have found is the 5D with a EF 24-105 f/4 IS lens for $3,299.00. I have looked at BH, Adorama, Amazon, Canons web site and called several local stores and its all the same everywhere. Anyways, Do any of you know of any other retailers that I haven't thought of.

Thanks

^^^ Too good to be true, I steer clear.

I would give Canon direct a chance. Buy the refurbished one for $2000. Just go to canon.com.

New non import with box and everything? If so, I may buy it and flip it.

Every single one of his sales are listed "private" on ratings.. That's a bit shady IMO.

That has to be too good to be true. I think it's strange that he wants you to contact him first to "explain the terms of the sale."

From the sellers ebay info -

"Returns accepted if received back brand new in the original packaging within 14 days of receipt of item. Merchandise credit will be issued or item exchanged."

A lot of times someone's password got stolen and the scammer list items like this.

Well the 24-105 price is about spot on. I sold a NIB 24-105 for $900 just to get rid of it.

Maybe I need to add this to my sig...that way everyone will see it:

"If it seems too good to be true: It is. Buyer beware."

[silentanathema]

Im going to email them and at least see what they say. it does seem to good.

So i just got an email back and they are saying everything will be handled by eBay for both of our protection. they say i can get a full refund if i am not happy with it. Any thought? I have never used ebay before, does any of that sound odd to anybody?
