Looking for a fast computer for editing?

You don't have crashes with the PC? I always found that PC when you run a ton of things at the same time(as you were saying you did) tend to end up crashing more...have you seen a big difference in that?

That is the most annoying thing. Mac people always think PCs crash or get viruses...In my house I have 5 PCs and 2 Macs (used to built computers) and I can count the number of crashes on ALL of them put together on one hand in the past year or so. Pretty impressive considering the people who use them.

I wasn't dissing PCs I was just asking if he found a difference in the amount of crashes. It was a curious question, non to to mean or rude to PC users.

The person you addressed never mentioned anything about having issues with crashing. You're assuming there was issues....that's not rude, but it is moronic. I don't think anyone accused you of being mean or rude, just ignorant.

In the 12 years I've worked with building my own computers, I've never had anything major happen. One older hard drive was taking a dump, so I had to replace it. One cheap, crappy video card, was also taking a dump, so I replaced it. That's about it. Everything else has just been upgrades.

But then, I don't buy a $300 Walmart computer and then compare it to a $2000 Mac.
