Looking for a P&S camera

When I am going out for hiking or theme park, my DSLR is either too heavy, not convenient or not safe. Therefor, I am looking for a point&shoot camera for situation like this.
I am looking at less than $400.

I love my canon s100! Supports full manual, and is wide open at f/2.. And more importantly picture quality is excellent!

+1 on the Canon S100. A pretty good feature set, shoots in RAW and in your budget.

Thank you OlaA and Jaguaraz. S100 is a decent camera at great price. I also looked Canon G12. Between G12 and S100, what makes you choose S100 over G12?
And any Nikon P&S?

G12 is a brick. It won't fit in a pocket. If I was going to need a bag or shoulder strap I'd rather carry my dlsr and a prime.
